CFCI began its academic scholarship program in 1996 when the daughter of
a faithful church family desired to continue studying, but whose family
didn’t have sufficient funds to send her to junior high school. Since
that time, CFCI has worked in conjunction with the local church (IGP) to
sponsor numerous students in various schools, ranging from elementary
school up through university. Our goal is to provide necessary economic
resources for students who meet the requirements of the program, while
encouraging them to be a light and a testimony for Christ at school and
in their future workplaces.
In
a community where the economic needs and lack of vision discourage
education, we are excited to provide students with the opportunity to
develop and pursue their dreams. It is our prayer that these students
will be more effective in bringing Christ to their community, family,
and workplace, as they seek to develop not only their character and
relationship to God, but also the skills and vision God has given them.
We welcome you to join us in offering these students a chance to realize
their academic potential and, in turn, more effectively change their
communities for Christ and His kingdom.
